Vinja OLD, Price Highlight of the 2016 Oldenburg Winter Mixed Sales

The 3-year old Oldenburg mare Vinja OLD became the price highlight of the 2016 Oldenburg Winter Mixed Sales in Vechta, Germany, on 3 December 2016.

Canadian customers paid 95,000 euro for the bay Bundeschampionate finalist by Antango x Detroit x Rohdiamant. She is bred by Bodo Wilms and will move to Evi Strasser's Good Tyme Stables in Canada.

The second most expensive horse was Lord Fantasy GMS (by Lord Liberty G x Dormello x Placido), bred by Friedrich Berghofer from Austria. He sold for 51,000 euro to a well-known dressage stable in Bavaria.

The third highest price was paid for a show jumper: Lord Legacy (by Lord Pezi x Adlikon x Goldstern), bred by Jürgen Fischer, Lohne. He changed owners for 50,000 euro and will move to a jumping yard in North Rhine Westphalia. Chinese clients paid 45,000 euro for the jumper Dirty Devil (by Diarado x Balou de Rouet). 

The black mare Rusperada (by Desperado x Sandro Hit x Donnerschwee) sold to Westfalia for 47,000 euro, while Americans purchased Feldstern (by Decamerone x Pik Noir x Furioso II) for 47,000 euro.

Ten of the 32 sold horses were purchased by Oldenburg fans from abroad. They will move to USA (3), China (2), Canada (1), Italy (1), Netherlands (1), Sweden (1), and Switzerland (1). The average price for a horse at this auction was 25,922 euro.
