Kira Schader and Fernando Rodriguez of Huntsman Stables in West Woodhay, Great Britain, want to make a difference for horse owners in Great Britain by running a high quality sales, training and livery yard in a very private atmosphere. Huntsman Stables is a new business aiming for top service. It also hosts monthly clinics with British based Portuguese Grand Prix rider Luis Principe, which are open to the public.

Huntsman Stables is nestled in the middle of the rolling hills of the Hampshire downs only one hour from London. It is a professional boutique sales and training facility managed by Kira Schader and her partner Fernando Rodriguez Segade. The yard's typical British barn style is the perfect home for the happy horse. The stable prides in its spacious Roewer and Ruebb boxes with automatic waterers, rubber matting and integrated feed bowls, a 20 x40 indoor arena with OTTO sand and Fibre surface, automatic irrigation system and mirrors on long and short side, and a brand new 22x60 outdoor arena as well as a full set of show jumps and cavallettis. Comfort is key as owners can enjoy all amenities at the yard as well enjoy the heated viewing area with kitchen in the indoor during cold and dreary winter months.

"Our strength is the high service, top facilities the very private, quiet and personal atmosphere at our yard," Schader told Eurodressage. "We look after every horse as if it was our own and the services included in our full livery package cover pretty much everything. The owner can just come to enjoy their horses. We are very proud of the cleanliness and high standard maintenance of our yard."

Huntsman Stables offers full livery services with daily mucking, feeding, turnout, rug changing and late night checks, and much more. Livery costs 850£ per month +VAT, but Huntsman Stables has a special offer going of -20% off on the livery fee for the first month when clients move in before the end of July.

Luis Principe Clinics

Huntsman Stables hosted its first clinic with international Grand Prix rider Luis Principe on 28 May and due to its great success, more training days with the Portuguese rider will be held on a monthly basis. Principe conducts lessons all day long and an audience is welcome to attend and learn. Coffee, croissants and drinks are offered.

"In our area most of the dressage clinics are very packed and I think our facilities and the privateness and friendly atmosphere offer a great comfort to clients," said Schader.  "Luis will be coming back on a regular basis at least once per month, if more spaces needed we have the possibility to add on dates."

Principe has a very personal way of teaching and adapts greatly to every rider's ability. "He is very constructive yet honest in his comments," Kira added. The next set of Luis Principe clinics will be on 2 and 30 July, 13 and 27 August, and 10 and 24 September 2016.

Kira and Fernando are avid horse riders themselves and train with Gareth Hughes as well as ride in the Luis Principe clinics. They have also been taught by Spanish Grand prix riders Victor Alvarez and Rafael Soto.

"We offer training and lessons for our clients and outside clients as well as arena hire," she stated.

Huntsman Horse Scouting

Huntsman Stables has a small but exquisite collection of talented young dressage horses for sale at their yard as they regularly import warmblood horses from Germany and PRE's and Lusitanos from Spain and Portugal.

"We have two horses arriving to be sold, both warmbloods (KWPN and Rhinelander) and are bringing new horses on a regular basis. We also import high quality Iberians and are awaiting a 3-year old PRE stallion in two weeks," Schader explained.

Kira also assists clients in scouting for horses across Europe by tapping into her tight network of dressage horses breeders and young horse trainers throughout the continent.

One of their top horses they have for sale at the moment is Huntsman's Wenge, who is competing at medium level at British national shows and soon ready to make the transition to Medium Advanced level.
