Diarado's Boy became the top selling horse at the 2011 A.O.S. Auction held at Paul Schockemohle's farm in Muhlen, Germany, on 2 October 2011. The AOS auction is the smaller brother of the PSI auction and includes foals, broodmares, stallion prospects and riding horses.
The 2-year old Oldenburg stallion prospect Diarado's Boy (by Diarado x Argentinus) sold for the staggering price of 450,000 euro. The young stallion Sir Romance (by Sir Donnerhall I x Rohdiamant)sold for 300,000 euro, while the 2-year old jumper colt L'Etoile Z (by L'Arc de Triomphe x Quattro B) fetched 260,000 euro.
The price stayed at an unbelievably high level. The stallion prospect Unique (by United x Worldly) sold for 250,000 euro, First Edition (by First Class x Florestan) for 180,000 euro and Salabaster (by Sir Donnerhall x Alabaster) for 150,000 euro.
Danish-Norwegian company Tailormade Horses was the top buyer of the auction, spending 1,410,000 euro in total for Sir Romance, L'Etoile Z, Unoque, Diarado's Boy and Salabaster. But that's not all. Tailormade further acquired broodmares, foals and riding horses.
Buyers were eager to pay top money for the foals as well. The Oldenburg branded Topmodel (by Totilas x Rubicell) as well as the Oldenburg filly Seine Welt (by Sir Donnerhall I x Florencio) sold for 60,000 euro. The Diarado colts sold like hot cakes. Di Caprio (by Diarado x Casini I) sold for 30,000 euro, while Daccord (by Diarado x Accord II) sold for 19,000 euro.
The most expensive broodmare was Sareeze, a 2-year old Hanoverian branded Sarkozy x Lord Loxley offspring. She sold for 90,000 euro.
