Minne Telde and the black Hanoverian stallion Hohenstaufen II (by Hohenstein x Langata Express xx) have won the "Champion of Winners," which is a championships of the top three ranked 5 and 6-year olds from the 2009 Swedish Young Horse Championships. Hohenstaufen II got 8,6 for trot, 8,5 for walk and canter, 8,7 for suppleness and 9 for general impression. With a total of 86.600 points he beat Pernille Andre on the bay Wladimir OA (by Flemmingh).

European individual and team gold medallist Adelinde Cornelissen has returned to the winner's circle on her first outing since the Europeans in August 2009. Aboard her Dutch warmblood Parzival (by Jazz x Ulft), she scored 75.53% to win the Grand Prix. "It is a long trip to Stockholm, but it's so fantastic here so I had to come back this year," Cornelissen said at the press conference. Parzival is known to be a spooky horse, but he kept his cool in the Globen arean. "I finally got his trust and today he was a fantastic horse." Another Jazz x Ulft bred horse finished second, Premier, ridden by Aat van Essen. This Dutch duo scored 70.00%
