The 2017 FEI Nations' Cup show circuit kicked off in Wellington, Florida, on Wednesday 22 March 2017. With a limited amount of countries competing, the CDIO format in Wellington is different from the European Nations' Cup events. The Senior teams consist of Canada, USA, and Spain. Individuals competing include riders from Australia and Guatemala. Riders can represent their countries in Grand Prix as well as in the Small Tour.
The American A-team won the Under 25 Nations' Cup held at the 2017 CDIO Wellington on Wednesday 22 March 2017 during the final week of competition in Wellington, FL. The Under 25 Nations Cup was contested over just one class, the Intermediaire II, and three teams competed: two U.S. teams and a Canadian delegation. Spain was represented by one individual rider, who won the class.
Austrian Belinda Weinbauer and Sohnlein Brilliant danced their way to victory in the Grand Prix Kur to Music at the 2017 CDI Caselle di Sommacampagna on 17 - 19 March 2017. Hosted at Sporting Club Paradiso close to Verona, Italy, the CDI drew out a mixed field of 15 Grand Prix riders from five different nationalities.
The 2017 CDI Keysoe is the first international taking place in the United Kingdom this show season and it was an all British affair and with the majority of the foreign riders based in Britain. However, that didn't make the indoor show less exciting. In the youth riders' division junior Alexandra Hellings and young rider Joanna Thurman-Baker blazed to victory.
New comer Micky Scheltstraete and routinier Elin's Noncisdador topped the leaderboard in the fourth leg of the 2017 KNHS FEI Pony Cup circuit at the national show in Vragender, The Netherlands, on 18 March 2017. Only one combination was able to score above 70%.
Sanne van der Pols and the black KWPN bred Excellentie became the winners of the very first Children's class held at Dutch show as part of a pilot project, which is investigating whether it makes sense for the KNHS to send a Dutch team to the 2017 European Children's Championships.
