2017 Norwegian Dressage Championships

Pony rider Carmen Grønvold Johannessen, junior rider Elisabeth Struve Fjornes, young rider Helena Liholt Gulli, Under 25 rider Maria Døhlie Rode and Grand Prix rider Louise Almlund Løkken became the champions at the 2017 Norwegian Dressage Championships held at the Borge Riding Club in Borgenhaugen, Norway on 15 - 17 September 2017.

2017 CDI-W Tryon

The 2017 World Cup qualifier in Tryon, North Carolina, was unable to draw North American top riders to the venue that will host the World Equestrian Games next year. This left plenty of space for some come back kids to shine. The Grand Prix was won by Canadian Alexandra Duncan, who made her come back after a three year break from the CDI ring, while Molly Paris took out the World Cup qualifier in a field of just four riders. Jessica Jo Tate ruled the small tour and won the Grand Prix for Special.

2017 CDI Waregem

Dutch dressage riders of all levels dominated the inaugural CDI Waregem in Belgium which was hosted for the first time at the Sport Vlaanderen centrum Waregem on 15 - 17 September 2017.  A large group of riders from The Netherlands traveled south while only a very small pack of Belgians contested this first 3* CDI on home turf.

2017 British Young Horse Championships

The 4-year old Waverley Dante, the 5-year old Hawtins San Floriana and the 6-year old Mount St. John VIP became the winners of the 2017 British Young Horse Championships held at the British Nationals in Stoneleigh Park on Sunday 17 October 2017. Both Hawtins San Floriana and Mount St. John VIP extended their title from last year.

2017 CDI Donaueschingen

The international equestrian competition in Donaueschingen, Germany, might be a top weekend for show jumping, but when it comes to CDI dressage, the event has considerably lost its flair with an ever decreasing amount of riders competing there. This year the two international big tour classes had a field of just nine riders, all German.

2017 British Dressage Championships

There was a dramatic twist on the final day of 2017 British Dressage Championships at Stoneleigh Park on Sunday 17 October 2017 with different combinations taking the Grand Prix Freestyle and National Champion titles. While Lara Butler won the Grand Prix title on Saturday, Carl Hester clinched the GP Freestyle Title. However, the overall British Champion's title in the big tour went to Hayley Watson-Greaves for posting the highest overall score after two rounds.
