Begin July 2014 Eurodressage correspondent Selene Scarsi was on the scene in Fritzens at one of the most beautiful shows in Europe, hosted at Evelyn and Klaus Haim-Swarovski's farm Schindlhof in the Alpine mountains. The small tour was won by Steffen Peters on Rosamunde, while the big tour classes fell prey to Austrian Victoria Max-Theurer who took four victories out of four aboard Augustin OLD and Blind Date.

Funf Sterne, Champion of the 2014 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede

Funf Sterne became the champion mare at the 2014 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede, Germany, on 24 July 2014, but the event was actually a major triumph for the 8-year old sire Furstenball, who had 13 daughters selected for the show and no less than 5 for the brilliant ring, including the champion and reserve champion.

Leatherdale Farms' stallion Beltano (by Belissimo M x Hohenstein) took an important step forward in his breeding and performance career by qualifying for the 2014 Bundeschampionate, Germany's Young Horse championships in Warendorf.

2014 CDI Deauville, Important Step for France and Australia Towards WEG qualification

The 2014 CDI Deauville has turned out to be an important step in qualification for the 2014 World Equestrian Games for riders from France, Australia and Portugal. "Dress'in Deauville" takes place on 25 - 27 July 2014 and has a record number of riders from 18 nations attending. One month before the Games, Deauville will be a deal maker or braker for many dressage riders this month.

Dujardin Strikes Back and Wins 2014 CDIO Aachen Kur to Music

After the disconcerting withdrawal of Totilas for the Aachen freestyle, the space was cleared for Charlotte Dujardin to move into the winner's circle in the Kur to Music and claim the Aachen Grand Champion's title on Sunday 20 July 2014. It was the first time in 56 years (last time in 1958, Joan Gold on Gay Gordon xx) that a Brit won this prestigious title. Helen Langehanenberg finished second and Isabell Werth was third.

Rath and Totilas Snag Grand Prix Special at 2014 CDIO Aachen

Matthias Rath and his 14-year old Dutch warmblood stallion Totilas once again proved that they are a force to be reckoned with, snagging the Grand Prix Special victory at the 2014 CDIO Aachen on Saturday 19 July 2014. In broiling hot temperatures they logged their second Aachen win beating the world's top two horses - Valegro and Damon Hill - once more.

Pam Langrish Wins 2014 Silver Camera Award

The English photographer Pam Langrish was able to convince the jury with two four-legged stars: A horse and a small cuddly dog speeding past at the front of the photo. The eventer Andrew Nicholson almost goes unnoticed on the winning photo. On Saturday evening, the coveted trophy, the Silver Camera, for the best international equestrian sport photo, was awarded to Langrish.

Totilas Surfaces at Top as Rivals Get Stuck in Fault Fest in 2014 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix

In Dutch there is a proverb which accurately describes the exciting sport and unbelievable competition that occurred in the 2014 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix on Thursday 17 July 2014. When two dogs fight over a bone, an unsuspecting dog will creep up and carry the bone away. This is exactly what happened when Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin and German rival Helen Langehanenberg battled it out for the top two spots in the ranking, but made too many mistakes. Matthias Rath and Totilas benefited from this fault-fest and finished at the top of the leader board.

Meulendijks Puts Best Foot Forward and Wins Kur Gold at 2014 European Young Riders Championships

With two of the kur medalists injured to their foot, gold medalist Anne Meulendijks and bronze medalist Jorinde Verwimp definitely put their best foot forward in the Kur to Music Finals at the 2014 European Young Riders Championships in Arezzo, Italy, on Sunday afternoon 13 July 2014. Winning individual and kur gold, Meulendijks became the overall 2014 European Young Rider Champion. She and Verwimp sandwiched Lisa Maria Klossinger in the ranking. The German grabbed her second individual silver that week.

Funf Sterne became the champion mare at the 2014 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede, Germany, on 24 July 2014, but the event was actually a major triumph for the 8-year old sire Furstenball, who had 13 daughters selected for the show and no less than 5 for the brilliant ring, including the champion and reserve champion.

2014 CDI Deauville, Important Step for France and Australia Towards WEG qualification

The 2014 CDI Deauville has turned out to be an important step in qualification for the 2014 World Equestrian Games for riders from France, Australia and Portugal. "Dress'in Deauville" takes place on 25 - 27 July 2014 and has a record number of riders from 18 nations attending. One month before the Games, Deauville will be a deal maker or braker for many dressage riders this month.

Dujardin Strikes Back and Wins 2014 CDIO Aachen Kur to Music

After the disconcerting withdrawal of Totilas for the Aachen freestyle, the space was cleared for Charlotte Dujardin to move into the winner's circle in the Kur to Music and claim the Aachen Grand Champion's title on Sunday 20 July 2014. It was the first time in 56 years (last time in 1958, Joan Gold on Gay Gordon xx) that a Brit won this prestigious title. Helen Langehanenberg finished second and Isabell Werth was third.

Rath and Totilas Snag Grand Prix Special at 2014 CDIO Aachen

Matthias Rath and his 14-year old Dutch warmblood stallion Totilas once again proved that they are a force to be reckoned with, snagging the Grand Prix Special victory at the 2014 CDIO Aachen on Saturday 19 July 2014. In broiling hot temperatures they logged their second Aachen win beating the world's top two horses - Valegro and Damon Hill - once more.

Pam Langrish Wins 2014 Silver Camera Award

The English photographer Pam Langrish was able to convince the jury with two four-legged stars: A horse and a small cuddly dog speeding past at the front of the photo. The eventer Andrew Nicholson almost goes unnoticed on the winning photo. On Saturday evening, the coveted trophy, the Silver Camera, for the best international equestrian sport photo, was awarded to Langrish.

Totilas Surfaces at Top as Rivals Get Stuck in Fault Fest in 2014 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix

In Dutch there is a proverb which accurately describes the exciting sport and unbelievable competition that occurred in the 2014 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix on Thursday 17 July 2014. When two dogs fight over a bone, an unsuspecting dog will creep up and carry the bone away. This is exactly what happened when Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin and German rival Helen Langehanenberg battled it out for the top two spots in the ranking, but made too many mistakes. Matthias Rath and Totilas benefited from this fault-fest and finished at the top of the leader board.

Meulendijks Puts Best Foot Forward and Wins Kur Gold at 2014 European Young Riders Championships

With two of the kur medalists injured to their foot, gold medalist Anne Meulendijks and bronze medalist Jorinde Verwimp definitely put their best foot forward in the Kur to Music Finals at the 2014 European Young Riders Championships in Arezzo, Italy, on Sunday afternoon 13 July 2014. Winning individual and kur gold, Meulendijks became the overall 2014 European Young Rider Champion. She and Verwimp sandwiched Lisa Maria Klossinger in the ranking. The German grabbed her second individual silver that week.

Pam Langrish Wins 2014 Silver Camera Award

The English photographer Pam Langrish was able to convince the jury with two four-legged stars: A horse and a small cuddly dog speeding past at the front of the photo. The eventer Andrew Nicholson almost goes unnoticed on the winning photo. On Saturday evening, the coveted trophy, the Silver Camera, for the best international equestrian sport photo, was awarded to Langrish.

Totilas Surfaces at Top as Rivals Get Stuck in Fault Fest in 2014 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix

In Dutch there is a proverb which accurately describes the exciting sport and unbelievable competition that occurred in the 2014 CDIO Aachen Grand Prix on Thursday 17 July 2014. When two dogs fight over a bone, an unsuspecting dog will creep up and carry the bone away. This is exactly what happened when Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin and German rival Helen Langehanenberg battled it out for the top two spots in the ranking, but made too many mistakes. Matthias Rath and Totilas benefited from this fault-fest and finished at the top of the leader board.

Meulendijks Puts Best Foot Forward and Wins Kur Gold at 2014 European Young Riders Championships

With two of the kur medalists injured to their foot, gold medalist Anne Meulendijks and bronze medalist Jorinde Verwimp definitely put their best foot forward in the Kur to Music Finals at the 2014 European Young Riders Championships in Arezzo, Italy, on Sunday afternoon 13 July 2014. Winning individual and kur gold, Meulendijks became the overall 2014 European Young Rider Champion. She and Verwimp sandwiched Lisa Maria Klossinger in the ranking. The German grabbed her second individual silver that week.

Funf Sterne, Champion of the 2014 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede

Funf Sterne became the champion mare at the 2014 Oldenburg Elite Mare Show in Rastede, Germany, on 24 July 2014, but the event was actually a major triumph for the 8-year old sire Furstenball, who had 13 daughters selected for the show and no less than 5 for the brilliant ring, including the champion and reserve champion.

The 2014 CDI Deauville has turned out to be an important step in qualification for the 2014 World Equestrian Games for riders from France, Australia and Portugal. "Dress'in Deauville" takes place on 25 - 27 July 2014 and has a record number of riders from 18 nations attending. One month before the Games, Deauville will be a deal maker or braker for many dressage riders this month.

Dujardin Strikes Back and Wins 2014 CDIO Aachen Kur to Music

After the disconcerting withdrawal of Totilas for the Aachen freestyle, the space was cleared for Charlotte Dujardin to move into the winner's circle in the Kur to Music and claim the Aachen Grand Champion's title on Sunday 20 July 2014. It was the first time in 56 years (last time in 1958, Joan Gold on Gay Gordon xx) that a Brit won this prestigious title. Helen Langehanenberg finished second and Isabell Werth was third.
