Research in the last decade has shown that muscle acidification is a more complex process. Although scientists still disagree about the exact cause of muscle acidification, lactate seems to be a part of normal muscle function.

Markus Gribbe to Join Platinum Stable's Team in Belgium

German Grand Prix rider Markus Gribbe is returning to Europe after two years on the West Coast in the United States to take up the job as head dressage rider at the Belgian branch of Titan and Shirley Wilaras' Platinum Stable. Gribbe is moving to Weelde, Belgium, where he will start his job as head trainer in September.

Dujardin Wins Kur Gold at the 2014 World Equestrian Games and Completes Grand Slam

British Charlotte Dujardin has won the Kur to Music gold medal at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Friday 29 August 2014 and completed a very rare grand slam of being the European, World and Olympic Champion, as well as Aachen Grand champion and World Cup winner, all achieved in two years time. Only one other horse-and-rider combination, Anky van Grunsven and Salinero, has prececded her in this feat. Dujardin is also the world record holder in the Grand Prix, Special and Kur to Music.

Yes We Caen: For Whom the Bell Tolls

The past three days have been full on action at the World Equestrian Games with three consecutive days of competition. Working at WEG has been a wonderful experience so far, but there is a lot of grumbling going on in the press centre. I try hard to cope with hurdles and make the best of it, while others find relief in complaint, eye-rolling and whining.

British Olympic and European Champion Charlotte Dujardin continued her streak of success at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France winning in the Grand Prix Special test gold medal after scoring 86.120%. Her test was not entirely fault-free but it was simply beautiful. Helen Langehanenberg finished with silver and Kristina Sprehe became the surprise winner edging out Adelinde Cornelissen for a podium place.

Team Gold for Germany, Dujardin League of her Own in Grand Prix at 2014 World Equestrian Games

The German dressage team proved to be untouchable in the team competition Grand Prix class at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Monday and Tuesday 25 - 26 Augut 2014. However it was ruling Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin who was a league of her own today, winning the class with 85.271% and spearheading the British team for team silver. The bronze went to the Dutch team after a fourth place from Adelinde Cornelissen.

Fanita and Eye Catcher Win 2014 Pavo Cup Finals

The 4-year old mare Fanita and the 5-year old stallion Eye Catcher won the 2014 Pavo Cup Finals at the KWPN Horse Days in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on Thursday 14 August 2014. The Pavo Cup is a show circuit for young KWPN registered horses. Today it poured with rain and the Finals had to move indoors.

British Charlotte Dujardin has won the Kur to Music gold medal at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Friday 29 August 2014 and completed a very rare grand slam of being the European, World and Olympic Champion, as well as Aachen Grand champion and World Cup winner, all achieved in two years time. Only one other horse-and-rider combination, Anky van Grunsven and Salinero, has prececded her in this feat. Dujardin is also the world record holder in the Grand Prix, Special and Kur to Music.

The past three days have been full on action at the World Equestrian Games with three consecutive days of competition. Working at WEG has been a wonderful experience so far, but there is a lot of grumbling going on in the press centre. I try hard to cope with hurdles and make the best of it, while others find relief in complaint, eye-rolling and whining.

British Olympic and European Champion Charlotte Dujardin continued her streak of success at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France winning in the Grand Prix Special test gold medal after scoring 86.120%. Her test was not entirely fault-free but it was simply beautiful. Helen Langehanenberg finished with silver and Kristina Sprehe became the surprise winner edging out Adelinde Cornelissen for a podium place.

Team Gold for Germany, Dujardin League of her Own in Grand Prix at 2014 World Equestrian Games

The German dressage team proved to be untouchable in the team competition Grand Prix class at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Monday and Tuesday 25 - 26 Augut 2014. However it was ruling Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin who was a league of her own today, winning the class with 85.271% and spearheading the British team for team silver. The bronze went to the Dutch team after a fourth place from Adelinde Cornelissen.

The 4-year old mare Fanita and the 5-year old stallion Eye Catcher won the 2014 Pavo Cup Finals at the KWPN Horse Days in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on Thursday 14 August 2014. Team Gold for Germany, Dujardin League of her Own in Grand Prix at 2014 World Equestrian Games

The German dressage team proved to be untouchable in the team competition Grand Prix class at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Monday and Tuesday 25 - 26 Augut 2014. However it was ruling Olympic champion Charlotte Dujardin who was a league of her own today, winning the class with 85.271% and spearheading the British team for team silver. The bronze went to the Dutch team after a fourth place from Adelinde Cornelissen.

Fanita and Eye Catcher Win 2014 Pavo Cup Finals

The 4-year old mare Fanita and the 5-year old stallion Eye Catcher won the 2014 Pavo Cup Finals at the KWPN Horse Days in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on Thursday 14 August 2014. The Pavo Cup is a show circuit for young KWPN registered horses. Today it poured with rain and the Finals had to move indoors.

Gribbe is moving to Weelde, Belgium, where he will start his job as head trainer in September.

Dujardin Wins Kur Gold at the 2014 World Equestrian Games and Completes Grand Slam

British Charlotte Dujardin has won the Kur to Music gold medal at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, on Friday 29 August 2014 and completed a very rare grand slam of being the European, World and Olympic Champion, as well as Aachen Grand champion and World Cup winner, all achieved in two years time. Only one other horse-and-rider combination, Anky van Grunsven and Salinero, has prececded her in this feat. Dujardin is also the world record holder in the Grand Prix, Special and Kur to Music.

Yes We Caen: For Whom the Bell Tolls

The past three days have been full on action at the World Equestrian Games with three consecutive days of competition. Working at WEG has been a wonderful experience so far, but there is a lot of grumbling going on in the press centre. I try hard to cope with hurdles and make the best of it, while others find relief in complaint, eye-rolling and whining.
