Everybody could feel it, spring has started early at the new sunshine show, the 2015 CDI Jerez de la Frontera at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, inaugurated on 25 February 2015 in the south of Spain. When you start putting on and taking off bandages on nine horses every day, one quickly realises that velcro boots have a lot going for them. I have now set out to discover which are better for the horse. Is it really necessary to cover the horse's legs, and if so which offer the better protection, boots or bandages?

Angelika Fromming: Open Scoring and Expert Commentary to Popularize Dressage

Our Guest Columnist this week is retired I-judge Angelika Frömming (GER). Eurodressage's Silke Rottermann described Frömming as "one of these rare personalities who doesn't shy away from clear words and from taking unpopular positions for the welfare of the sport and the horses involved. Rather in the background than in the big spotlights where some of her judging colleagues like to position themselves, Frömming has influenced dressage in many ways over the past five decades."

Lucky Lingh Retired from Breeding, Stays in Germany

Gestut Birkhof, Thomas Casper and Karin Reid Offield are pleased to announce that the beloved and celebrated stallion Lingh will now enjoy a well deserved retirement in 2015. With his active breeding career now over, we look forward to celebrating Lingh's 22nd birthday this spring. Lingh’s offspring continue to shine as they grow up, show off and excel in training by excited and devoted owners. Lingh’s offspring generate fans the world over!

Four European Riders To Compete at 2015 Florida International Dressage Youth Festival

Four National and European Champion youth riders from Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands will be making the journey across the Atlantic to compete at two international shows in Wellington in March 2015. Dana van Lierop, Rosalie Bos, Antonia Arl and Vivien Niemann will be increasing the international presence and level of competition in the Young Rider and Junior divisions in Florida.

Laura Graves Aiming for 2015 Las Vegas World Cup Finals

America's shooting Grand Prix star of 2014, Laura Graves, has confirmed that she will be aiming for a berth at the 2015 World Cup Finals in Las Vegas, on 15 - 19 April 2015. After making a stellar rise to the top, which culminated in a fifth place and a 82.036% score in the Kur to Music at the 2014 World Equestrian Games, Graves has been laying low since Caen.

Happy New Year everyone !! I hope you all had a wonderful NYE celebration and spent quality time with your loved ones.  I decided to go to Paris for  and had a nice dinner and then watched the fireworks on the Arc de Triomphe. It was lovely.

Four European Riders To Compete at 2015 Florida International Dressage Youth Festival

Four National and European Champion youth riders from Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands will be making the journey across the Atlantic to compete at two international shows in Wellington in March 2015. Dana van Lierop, Rosalie Bos, Antonia Arl and Vivien Niemann will be increasing the international presence and level of competition in the Young Rider and Junior divisions in Florida.

Four European Riders To Compete at 2015 Florida International Dressage Youth Festival

Four National and European Champion youth riders from Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands will be making the journey across the Atlantic to compete at two international shows in Wellington in March 2015. Dana van Lierop, Rosalie Bos, Antonia Arl and Vivien Niemann will be increasing the international presence and level of competition in the Young Rider and Junior divisions in Florida.
