Belgian Under 25 rider Soraya Brison just missed out on winning the 2017 Student Sport Flanders Award. A member of the VLP Talent Team that gets to train with Anky van Grunsven and a High Potential listed squad member with Giorgio Armani, Brison was amongst three athletes nominated for this award

Any rider who has had a horse suffer from travel sickness knows how stressful that can be. Particularly when you are usually on way to an important competition and you have enough to worry about! Flying around 5,500 - 6,000 horses every year, equine shipping company IRT has been operating for over 40 years with bases in the USA, New Zealand and Europe.


German Breeding News

The show jumping bred Karajan became the top scoring stallion at the 14-day Stallion Suitability Test in Schlieckau on 6 - 19 April 2017. No less than 35 dressage and show jumping stallions participated in the Schlieckau testing.


Veterinary News

Resting behaviour is frequently used as a welfare measure in horses; this indicator has been adopted from bovine research where it has been shown to alter with environment and management changes. However, unlike bovines, equine resting behaviour may also be influenced by the amount of ridden exercise the horse has performed through the day.
