Carola Koppelmann's rising Grand Prix star Rom died yesterday 4 January 2011 following a severe colic attack. The 11-year old Hanoverian bred mare (by Rotspon x Wolkenstein II) was transported to the equine clinic but sadly passed away on the operation table.

Canadian WEG team rider Ashley Holzer has a new horse to ride: Ultiem's Flemming. Through mediation of Patrik Kittel, the 9-year old Dutch warmblood gelding (by Akribori x Ronald) sold to a client of Holzer's and has moved to New York where Ashley is based.
The Austrian dressage world is shocked by the sad and sudden passing of one of its most talented Grand Prix dressage horses: Donna Asana. Evelyn Haim-Swarovski's Danish warmblood mare died on 29 December 2010.
