Dressage Canada announced that they have nominated Gwynne Rooke, of Stouffville, ON, as the chef d’équipe for Canada’s dressage team heading to the 2010 World Equestrian Games (WEG) at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The games run from September 25–October 10, 2010.

The French dressage community is shocked by the sudden death of Grand Prix rider Sylvia Corellou, who died in car accident yesterday evening February 23, 2010. Corellou went out to do errands in Alliers, France, when she was hit by another car.

Australian Kerry Mack sold her Hanoverian licensed stallion Whisper to Jody Hartstone from New Zealand. The black stallion by Weltmeyer x Feiner Stern x Pik Bube will be Hartstone's hope to qualify for the 2010 World Equestrian Games or 2012 London Olympics.

International horse sport has a new European association, the European Equestrian Federation (EEF). The new body was established on 18th February 2010 by 27 European National Federations present at a meeting in Warendorf, Germany.
