The Danish Warmblood studbook hosted this year's General Assembly of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses in Billund, Denmark, on 12 - 14 November 2017.

On the first day of the meetings the participants visited Blue Horse stud. Saturday afternoon the participants who had already arrived and checked-in at the Hotel Legoland had the apportunity to visit one of the leading dressage stallion stations and dressage training stables in the world, the Blue Hors stud which is also a stud form where foals are born and young stock is raised.

The visit of the WBFSH delegation co-incided with the yearly Blue Hors Dressage Festival which is a national dressage show. The delegation was welcomed by Blue Hors director Mr. Ole Magnus Pedersen who gave an introduction to the stud as a company and talked about its values and goals etc. whilst the visitors could enjoy a traditional Danish treat "gløgg & æbleskiver" which is like a christmas punch served with Danish donuts.

Director of the stallion station Mr. Esben Møller made a presentation of the Blue Hors stallions followed by a guided tour around the stud farm talking about the different stallions and the development that the stallion station has gone through and shared some of its visions. The guided tour took the participants back to the big show arena to watch to Grand Prix which was won by Anna Kasprzak and her Westphalian gelding Rock Star by Rockwell x Weinberg (bred by Markus Kohlleppel).

Finally, the WBFSH delegation was invited to a buffet dinner hosted by Blue Hors.

Sunday offered the participants at the 2017 WBFSH Annual Meetings an interesting and diverse programme which was also attended by HRH Princess Benedikte, patron of the WBFSH. President of WBFSH and DWB, Mr. Jan Pedersen welcomed the attendees to the meeting and gave the floor to professor Anders Chr. Sørensen to talk about the implementation of genomic selection in the breeding schemes of DWB.

This presentation was followed by vet. Rikke Munk Andersen who spoke about a very interesting Phd project on interaction of behaviour, physical training and performance in sport horses.
