Brazilian Olympian Giovana Pass has acquired the 8-year old Lusitano stallion Eleito Plus as a Grand Prix hopeful.

The 19-year old Pass commutes between Brazil and Portugal, where she trains with Paulo Caetano. The Pass family has secured two future hopefuls, Eleito Plus and Fidelio Plus, as potential successors for Giovana's Grand Prix horse Zingaro de Lyw.

Pass purchased Eleito Plus, an 8-year old Lusitano by Peralta out of Sinfonia (by Nautico x Galan) and bred by Vasco Freire. Portuguese Grand Prix team rider Boaventura Freire competed the horse once in 2016 in Germany at M-level at the Brockhöfe local show, after Eleito did some young horse classes in Portugal with the Plus stable jockey.

Pass has also received the ride on Fidelio, a 10-year old Hanoverian by Fidertanz out of Heideblume (by Hohenstei x Donnerhall) bred in Germany and owned by Freire. She is currently training her new horses in Portugal with Caetano in preparation of their small tour debut.

"They will stay with Caetano. We do not know for how long yet, we will see how they develop," mum Roberta Pass told Eurodressage.

Pass still has her 13-year old Lusitano Grand Prix horse Zingaro de Lyw (by Guizo) in Brazil and has obtained her first qualification score for the 2018 World Equestrian Games. In two weeks the pair will compete in the CDI Sao Paulo in an attempt to obtain their second MES score.

From the Brazilian Rio Team, Joao Victor Marcari Oliva has already amply secured his MES scores this 2017 show season with Xama dos Pinhais. Luiza Tavares has only competed Aoleo once in 2017 and did not score 66% or higher. Pedro Tavares has not shown at all since the Olympics.
