British 2012 Olympic bronze medal winner Laura Bechtolsheimer-Tomlinson has a new rising star in her barn, the Dutch warmblood Fallatijn. The horse has already been in Laura's ownership since August 2016.

Fallatijn is a 7-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Vivaldi out of Utraginia van Kairos (by Cabochon x Caritas).

Theo Hanzon acquired Fallatijn van Kairos as an unbroken 3-year old stallion. He was rejected by the KWPN but accepted for breeding by the AES studbook.

Hanzon and Fallatijn earned bronze at the 2014 Dutch Young Horse Championships in the 4-year old division and won gold at the 2015 Dutch Young Horse Championships in the 5-year old division. That same year he was in the running for the World Championship team selection but was named reserve.

Fallatijn sold in August 2016, but at the time Hanzon did not want to disclose the identity of the buyers. Laura Bechtolsheimer has now revealed herself that she has the chestnut in her barn.

"I fell in love with him already when I saw him aged five," Laura told Eurodressage.

In July she already competed him at Advanced Medium level at the Summerhouse premier league show in the U.K. They were second with 67.763%. Laura will also be riding Fallatijn in a demonstration at the 2017 British Championships in Stoneleigh next week.
