An exciting new collaboration is on the horizon for international dressage rider and trainer Dr. Cesar Parra and USDF Silver and Gold medalist Louisa-Marcelle Eadie. Parra, founder and owner of Performance Farms, is joining forces with the Grand Prix rider to create even more opportunities for expert horse training and exceptional horse prospect sales within the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Together, the dressage duo will work to select and develop new young horses, utilizing a powerful combined range of experience in young horse development and training, as well as Eadie’s on-going collaboration with Waverley Stud in Warwickshire, England. An accomplished international competitor and a 2011 U.S. Pan American Games Dressage Team Gold medalist, Dr. Parra will work with Eadie to help her advance towards accomplishing her goal of representing her home country of England in international competition.

“I don’t think there is anyone more passionate about riding and helping me achieve my goal,” remarked Eadie of Parra. “Obviously, Cesar’s record of showing horses and his unbeatable range of experience speaks for itself.”

In addition to bringing Eadie’s riding career to the next level, the two plan to work together to select and develop young horses. “Dr. Parra and I are both classically trained, and both of our backgrounds involve a shared passion for bringing along talented young horses. I think that together, we can bring some exceptional new prospects to the Tri-State area” explained Eadie.

Dr. Cesar Parra’s track record for excellence in the world of international competition includes a long list of successes over the years. Dr. Parra has represented the United States at the 2014 World Cup in Lyon, France, and his team of riders earned consistently top scores and placings during the 2017 Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida. More recently, the team displayed their knack for delivering top results aboard several of their younger mounts at Centerline Events’ HITS Dressage on the Hudson show in Saugerties, New York.

Much like Dr. Parra, Eadie specializes in the starting and training of young horses, and delights in the process of bringing along new talent. “I’ve had massive success with the young horses,” she observed. “I’m very passionate about that because their education is so important early on.” Eadie believes in daily handling of the youngsters, while still allowing them the freedom to “be horses.”

The English-born trainer moved to the U.S. in 2005. In 2006, she began riding with Anne Gribbons, who continues to serve as her mentor. In addition to Eadie’s work with Dr. Parra, she has also trained with other top competitors including Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfvén, Bo Jena, Stephen Clarke, Michael Klimke, and Conrad Schumacher.

Over the years, Eadie has brought seven horses up to the Grand Prix level. She has competed in a myriad of CDI competitions, including 25 Grand Prixs during this year’s Florida winter show season. A lifelong equestrian, she started backing and training ponies at the age of 11, notching more than 150 correctly-started horses since then. “That’s something I’m extremely confident about,” noted Eadie. “I’ve worked with all different breeds and specialize in problematic horses.”

Eadie’s training business, LME Dressage, is situated at its beautiful 11-acre Bluebell Farm location in Sherman, Connecticut from May through November. During the winter months, LME Dressage travels to its serene winter location in Loxahatchee, Florida. Both facilities offer extensive amenities and are designed especially to accommodate foals to International Grand Prix horses.

As the new collaboration continues to take shape between Parra and Eadie, both parties look forward to developing many exciting new prospects together and accomplishing mutual goals along the way.
