Burberry was one of the eye catchers at the 2016 Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Under Demi Vermeulen, Burberry competed in the Grade 2 division at the highest level of Paralympic sport and won individual silver and team bronze.
Demi Vermeulen took up riding Burberry in February 2016 and her show record not only proves her athleticism and top potential but also her incredible rideability. Results include a second place in the team test in Rio (71.824%), team bronze and individual silver with 71.60%. At the Dutch Championships this mare scored 73.60% and 78.30% in the kur to music. She contested the Nations Cup in Deauville, where she was second with the team on a score of 70.32%. She was the triple winner of the CPEDI3* Roosendaal (72.8%, 72.28% 77.80%). At the CPEDI 3* in Mannheim she earned 70.7% and 73,2%, while at the prestigious invitational in Doha, Qatar, she scored 73.48% and 73.90%.
The gorgeous 10-year old Dutch warmblood mare Burberry is a top dressage horse in a small package. An ideal match for smaller dressage riders, Burberry has a proven show record as a top performance horse.
In The Netherlands, Burberry has been allowed to compete in pony divisions as well as horse classes. Under the 15-year old rider Benth de Graaf, this striking bay mare was very successful across the levels. She scores 9s for extended trots and half passes.
A quick grasp from her impressive list of achievements includes 2012 Regional Champion at L2 level and 2014 and 2015 Regional Champion at Z1 level (U.S. second-third level - German L-level). This super mare was also 7th at the 2014 Dutch Outdoor Championships at Z1 level and the reserve champion (silver medal) at the 2015 Dutch Indoor Championships at Z1 level. She also won the 2013 Maxrider Cup, was second in the 2014 Bit Talent Competition (judged by Adelinde Cornelissen) and she won gold at the 2015 Midwinter Championships. Burberry was also selected for the 2013 and 2015 Zuid Holland Talent Centre.
Burberry is suitable for an ambitious or/and experienced rider. Burberry is very reliable, easy to handle and loves competitions. She has a lot of willingness to work, is forward and has much uphill tendency in her movements. With her three excellent basic gaits, she is a real dressage eye catcher. She has been professionally trained according to the training scale.
Burberry is now ready for the next step in her career. With the same owner for the past four years, this mare is healthy and has had no injuries. A recent vet report (October 2015) with good X-rays also of neck and back is available.
