The Finnish warmblood bred and Oldenburg licensed stallion San Riant has been sold to the United States.  The 6-year old stallion will continue his dressage career with American Grand Prix rider Silke Rembacz.

San Riant (by San Amour x Riant x Come Back II x Sorell) is bred in Finland by Marjo Vainikka and was originally named Riverbank Sancreo.

The black was licensed at the 2012 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta, Germany, where German stallion owner Gerd Sosath acquired him at auction for 85,000 euro. He did his 30-day stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse in 2013 and scored 7.91 for dressage and 7.63 for show jumping (average 7.82). In September 2014 he did the 70-day testing in Schlieckau and scored 7.44 for dressage and 7.11 for show jumping (averagz 7.50).

San Riant was only very lightly competed as a youngster. He did one show in Heilingenrode in 2013 under Ninja Sosth and one show in Wedel in 2014 under Laura Aromaa. in 2015 San Riant was competed in the Bundeschampionate qualifiers under Lukas Fischer. They competed at six events in the L-level dressage horse test and won two (Scheessel and Grossenkneten). He did not compete at the Bundeschampionate.

San Riant has now been sold by Gerd Sosath to American Jeanne VanNuys, who is based in Harrisburg, PA.

"I am very excited about our future together. San
Riant is the epitome of the dreamy black stallion: stunningly gorgeous,
very amateur friendly, and exquisitely athletic," said VanNuys. "Let the journey begin."
