German Dressage News

German equestrian magazine St. Georg published a statement from the lawyer of Damon Hill's owner Christian Becks, which denies the rumour that the horse is for sale.

The rumour that the Westfalian licensed stallion Damon Hill (by Donnerhall x Rubinstein) is for sale has been floating round for one year, with a whispered asking price of 15 million euro. During the 2014 CDIO Aachen in July the rumour spread even further that the horse had been sold and that Helen would keep the ride until the 2014 World Equestrian Games.

At the Games both Langehanenberg and the owner's wife Melanie refused to address the issue with the press.

Today Becks' lawyer has now issued a statement:

"The owners of the successful dressage horse Damon Hill are using legal assistance to deny the rumours that the horse, which recently won gold and two silver medals under Helen Langehanenberg at the World Championships, will be sold. Of course there are interested parties in Germany and abroad in a horse of such quality. Nevertheless the ongoing negotiations with Stable Langehanenberg about an extensions of the successful co-operation have not yet ended."
