Totilas Foal Sells for 105,000 euro at 2011 Summer Mixed Sales in Vechta
The Totilas hype in Germany has truly found its stride as a beautiful long legged Totilas colt with good but not spectacular movements sold for a jaw-dropping 105,000 euro at the 2011 Summer Mixed Sales of Oldenburg sport horses, broodmares and foals in Vechta, Germany on 4 June 2011.
The Dutch bred and owned but Oldenburg registered black colt Total Ideal (by Totilas x Rubinstein x Argentinus) sold on the phone for 105,000 euro to Sabine Hellweg from Bad Homburg, Germany, which is a stone's throw away from Totilas' new home in Kronberg, Germany.
Foal prices were quite good at the Summer Mixed Sales. The second most expensive foal was the black colt Valerian (by Vivaldi x Florestan x Donnerhall). He moves to Sweden for 27,000 euro.
The best selling young sport horse was the dark bay gelding Festball (by Fidertanz x Sandro Hit x Karon/T) which sold for 50,000 euro to Kerstin Klieber. The dark bay mare Anka (by Fernet x Donnerschwee) was acquired by American buyers for 37,000 euro.
Two broodmares sold for the top knock down price of 8,000 euro. Sunrise K (by Sorento x Hohenstein) and Farina (by Florencio x Dormello) move to a new home for that price.
