Hoftanz is a highly modern, classy black stallion from the first crop of the Hanoverian and Danish warmblood licensing champion His Highness, who sold for the record price of 515,000 Euro. After an outstanding stallion performance test with a score of 149 overall and 155 in dressage, Hoftanz won the Danish Warmblood stallion performance test.  The dam sire Rotspon was also a performance test winner with a score of 145 and has sired more than 20 licensed sons and 65 State Premium mares.

Trademark stallions such as Donnerhall, Furioso II, Caprimond, Rubinstein, Weltmeyer and Brentano II leave nothing to be desired from a breeding standpoint. With such a well bred dam line paired with optimal movement potential in all three gaits – walk, trot and canter, good
free-jumping and extraordinary temperament and conformation, the jet black Hoftanz is a stunning dressage stallion for future breeding success.

Hoftanz has been successful in young horse tests (scoring up to 88%) and he qualified for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Danish Young Horse Championships as well as the German Bundeschampionate (2009). Hoftanz is currently trained by Danish Grand Prix rider Michael Sogaard.

Hoftanz' first crop of foals in Denmark and Holland in 2008 proved to be high quality. Many of them made it to foal shows and elite foal auctions. The KWPN branded colt Dancer M (by Hoftanz x Elcaro) sold for 23,000 euro as price highlight of the Midden-Nederland Foal Auction. Paul Schockemohle and Sissy Max-Theurer acquired a colt (by Hoftanz x Diamond Hit) for 11,000 euro at an Oldenburg Foal Auction.

His foals stand out with their exceptional conformation, flowing toplines, well developed neck and dark colour. In Denmark numerous foals won a premium at foal shows. Hortensia (by Hoftanz) became regional foal champion and was selected for the Elite Foal Show in Vilhelmsborg.
