Stallions Eaton of Westfalia, Bon Bolero, and Red Viper became the high scores of the shortened suitability test and sport test held for licensed stallions in Munster-Handorf on 24 - 26 April 2024.
Shortened Suitability Test: Eaton of Westfalia
A small group of seven 3-year old colts participated in the shortened suitability test. Bentheim (by Belvedere DB) dropped out.
The high scorer was the Hanoverian bred Eaton of Westfalia (by Escolar x Florencio), bred by Ann Caroline von Möller and ridden by Sabrina Gessmann. He scored a total of 9.07 points and got 8.8 for walk, 8.4 for trot, 9.7 for canter, 8.3 for rideability and 9 for willingness to perform.
The second best scorer was the Bavarian bred Devotion (by Dynamic Dream x Benetton Dream) with 8,35 points.
Sport Test: Bon Bolero, Red Viper
Nine 4-year olds competed in the sport test and one dropped out, Sir Hamilton (by Sir Heinrich). The top scorer was Heinz Ahlers' Oldenburg bred Bon Bolero (by Bon Vivaldi x Furst Romancier) with a total of 8,90 points. He got 8.5 for walk and 9 for trot, canter, submission and general impression. Just Diamond (by Jovian) was runner-up with a total of 8.43 points.
Five 5-year olds participated and one dropped out mid-test, Diamantenglanz (by Diamond First). The Dutch bred and owned Red Viper (by Romanov x Sir Sinclair) was the high scorer with a total of 8,74 points. he got 8.2 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 9 for canter, submission and general impression. Red Viper sold as a foal at the 2019 Borculo auction for 56,000 euro to Dutch investor Jan-Pieter Dalsem. He was rejected for KWPN licensing, but accepted by Oldenburg. He became the high scorer of the 2022 Shortened Suitability Test in Warendorf. Energy (by Escamillo) scored the second best result, 8.42 points.
