Lovely Lennox Named Champion of the 2024 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing

The KWPN bred Lovely Lennox has been named champion of the 2024 Oldenburg Saddle Licensing on 12 April 2024.

The Oldenburg breeding society held a saddle licensing for the 13th time. Fourteen young stallions were pre-selected to participate in this two-day licensing. Twelve of them showed up and five were accepted.

Licensed

The licensing champion is the KWPN bred and registered Royal M (by Lennox US out of Dorlinda M (by Vivaldi x Balzflug). He is bred by C van Mook in The Netherlands and was presented in Vechta by Heiko and Wilhelm Klausing. As he was licensed, he received a "German name" which is "Lovely Lennox."

The four further licensed colts are Mon Chateau (by Morricone I x Don Romantic), the Austrian owned Tamino (Tarantino x Fürst Heinrich), the Swiss owned Viscount of Oldenburg (Viva Gold x Sorento), and the Dutch bred and owned Vince Charming (Vivino x For Romance I). He was previously named Red Knight DSV.

Auction

At the auction following the licensing on 13 April 2024 the champion Lovely Lennox sold for 60,000 euro.

The most expensive, freshly licensed stallion was the licensed Mon Chateau who fetched 82,000 euro. Tamino went for 80,000 euro and the Swiss owned Viscount of Oldenburg for 33,000 euro to an online bidder from Germany. The press release stated that Viscount of Oldenburg sold to The Netherlands. Vince Charming was auctioned for 27,000 euro.

The non-licensed stallions Furstensilber II sold for 31,000 euro to the U.K., Jorginho for 15,000 euro, and Bon Bon for 14,000 euro. The Dutch owned Vinicio (by Vivino x Florencio) returned to The Netherlands for 20,500 euro. Tonik (by Totilas x Zonik) sold for 35,000 euro
