Svalegårdens Freeway became the top selling horse in the 2024 Blue Hors Future Auction, the third in a series of four auctions the Danish stud farm Blue Hors is hosting the month of February.
Blue Hors is closing its doors on 1 April 2024 and is selling its entire horse stock. In February it is hosting four auctions, the Future Auction on 13 February was the third one. The last one, the "Final Call" auction, will be on 22 February 2024.
For the Future Auction 33 horses were up for auction. The 3-year old Svalegårdens Freeway (by Floriscount x Romeo) became the best seller, finding a new home for 22,000 euro.
The 12-year old broodmare Overgaard's Colo'n (by Zack x Londonderry) sold for 15,000 euro. She is in foal to St. Schufro and already sold last year for 11,500 euro to Dutch buyers, but returned in this auction.
Two horses sold to The Netherlands: the 3-year old Zodoku Guldbjerg (by Zackorado x Rockefeller) for 4,000 euro and the 4-year old Bøggilds Francatelli (Blue Hors Fifty Cent x Ladas) for 3,500 euro.
British buyers secured the 3-year old Dream Boy Junior (by Dream Boy x San Remo) and the 3-year old Zacho Frej (by Zackerey x Don Romantic). The 3-year old colt Zididada EG (by Fortron x Zack) moves to France.
