Furst Zonik PS (by Furstenball x Zonik) was named champion of the 2019 Mecklenburg Stallion Licensing in Redefin, Germany, on 9 November 2019.

Forty-nine dressage colts were presented at the licensing, but no less than 15 of them were no-show. So out of the 34 presented colts an incredible amount of 25 was approved and 7 of them were named premium stallion.

The licensing committee in Mecklenburg is known for its leniency in approving stallions, which makes this licensing a popular choice for stallion owners with a large stock of young colts they like to see approved but didn't get accepted (or presented) at the pre-selection of the bigger studbook licensings in Germany.

The champion of the 2019 Mecklenburger licensing was Paul Schockemöhle's Oldenburg registered Fürst Zonik PS (by Furstenball x Zonik x Sir Donnerhall I x Don Schufro). The dam of this colt, Zantana, will be sold in the upcoming 2019 PSI Auction on 9 December 2019.

The reserve champion was an Oldenburg registered Franklin's Love PS (by Franklin x Sandro Hit x Rubinstein x Pik Bube I), bred by Paul Schockemöhle and owned by Hof Kasselmann. A month ago his embryo transfer full brother Franklin's Hit PS sold to a Belgian buyer for  27,000 euro at the 2019 PS Online colt auction.

The other premium stallions were A. Weissmann's Hanoverian Imani AW (by Ibizi x Lauries Crusador xx x Wolkenstein II), Gestut Sprehe's Oldenburg bred Marc Cain x Desperados x A Jungle Prince, Paul Schockemöhle's Oldenburg bred Zonik x Sir Donnerhall I x Furst Romancier (later named either Zauberlehrling PS or Zurbaran de la Gesse/Zonik's Donnerhall), Rene Tebbel's Hanoverian bred Lord Legend (by Libertad x Baroncelli x Werther) and the Hanoverian bred Vuitton (by Vitalis x Bretton Woods x De Niro). The latter also sold at the 2019 PS Online Colt auction for 30,000 euro to the French Haras de la Gesse.

Paul Schockemoöhle's For Donnerhall (by Furst Jazz x Sir Donnerhall) colt was also named premium stallion, but he was surprisingly listed as missing in the dressage list but was called amongst the show jumper colts.
