Rozzie Ryan's former international Grand Prix horse and licensed breeding stallion Jive Magic has passed away. He was euthanized on 23 September 2019.

"He was such a wonderful horse and Rozzie and all of us here at Ryans will miss him dearly," said Heath Ryan. "Rozzie and Jive had a wonderful journey together from her buying him out of a paddock in Europe at 6 weeks old to training and competiting him through to Grand Prix with great success before he retired to stud duties and being the old man of the stables."

Jive Magic was bred in The Netherlands by J. Visser-van de Linden. He was by Jazz out of Kind of Magic (by Fruhling x Aktion x Symfonie).

He was scouted by the Ryans as a foal in Holland and imported into Australia.

Rozzie and Jive Magic were first successful at small tour level before an eye injury interrupted his career that was aiming at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong.

Rozzie and Jive Magic made their international Grand Prix debut in 2009 and they were hot contenders for a team spot for the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, but did not travel to Europe for team selection. They were fourth in the 2010 Pacific League World Cup Finals in Werribee. They competed through 2011 at CDI's across Australia (Boneo, Werribee and Sydney). Their last competition together was the CDI Sydney in April 2011n where they were 7th in the Grand Prix and 5th in the freestyle.

Jive Magic was retired to stud at age 15.

He produced a string of offspring that has been quite successful in Australia, especially in the young horse division: Denise Rogan's Just one Wish, Jodie Newall's Jive Matrix C, Grace Kay's Karingal Jamiriquai, as well as Hunter Taylor's junior riders' horse Maybelle Matilda and Grand Prix horses Mr Jackson (Megan Bryant), Jude (Sue Hearn) and Johnny Depp (David McKinnon).

The stallion's most successful offspring is Rozzie Ryan's current Grand Prix horse Jarrah R.

Jive Magic's full brother, the two years younger Chatham Park Jac (originally nammed Razz) competed at the 2006 World Equestrian Games under Rachel Sanna (née Downs) and later on with Juliette Ramel.
