Berend Minnen of Resim Dressage and Resim Investment Group

Berend Minnen, founder and owner of Resim Dressage, died away unexpectedly on 13 October 2018. He was 78 years old.

Minnen is the founder of Resim Investment Group, a commercial real estate corporation that builds, buys, sells and rents houses and buildings.

He built the upscale equestrian centre Resim Dressage in Harskamp, The Netherlands, where Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud began their business and had their base for years before moving to Glock's newly built facility in Oosterbeek.

In 2007 Minnen lost his wife Els Janssen to cancer. She was the managing director of Resim Dressage at the time.

Minnen was the owner of the KWPN licensed stallion Santano, who won the Pavo Cup in 2006, beating Johnson at the time, as well as the KWPN approved but not performance tested Invito (by Furstenball x Sandro Hit). Femke de Laat bought an ownership share in the latter stallion.

Berend and his wife were also avid breeders. They bred, for instance, Sara Hassler's international small tour horse Boitano (by Santano x Whinny Jackson) and Anna Paprocka Campanella's international Grand Prix horse Prego, which sold to Joanne Vaughan.

At the moment Dutch dressage rider, trainer and judge Joyce Heuitink has her base at Resim Dressage.
