The 5-year old Estero and the 6-year old Well Dark became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Bettenrode, Germany, on 12 July 2019.
Beatrice Buchwald and Oemer Boyar van Baaren's Westfalian gelding Estero ruled the 5-year old division with a 2018 BuCha season high score of 8.8. The chestnut gelding by Escolar x Desperados earned 8.5 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression. Spanish Ivan Nieto and Equus Invest's Hanoverian stallion D'Alessandro (by Don Frederic x Stedinger) were the runners-up with 8.1. The stallion got 7.5 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
In the 6-year old division Carina Bachmann and the Westfalian gelding Well Dark (by Wolken-Hit x Don Larino) topped the board with 8.0. The black gelding got 9 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 7 for submission and 8 for general impression. Johanna von Fircks and her partner Dirk Schrade's DSP bred Vincent (by Viscount x Stalypso) was the runner-up with 7.5. The show jumper scored 8 for walk, 7.5 for trot and canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
