Jessica Süss' rising Grand Prix horse Duisenberg has been sold to former German young rider Carolin Fehlings.

The 10-year old Hanoverian gelding is by Desperadous out of Weltluna (by Weltmeyer). He is bred by Heinz Schutte and was owned by the Stuhldreier family.

He was originally licensed at the 2011 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing and Oldenburg approved two months later. He completed his 30-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in 2013 and scored 8.18 for dressage and 7.60 for show jumping.

His first competition he did in February 2013 under Ann-Christin Wienkamp but as of 2015 he was shown by Raphael Thomas, who took him to the 2015 Bundeschampionate but they ended up 34th in the 6-year old preliminary test.

He was gelded to be focused on sport and has just 11 offspring registered with the German FN.

In 2017 Jessica Süss began showing the horse at M-level. She took him up to small tour through the developing PSG horse classes and in the spring of 2019  moved up to the Developing Grand Prix horse tests.

The 29-year old Fehlings acquired Duisenberg this summer. Fehlings competed Priamus at junior-young riders level from 2007 through 2010 and campaigned Fritz San Tino at young riders level in 2010-2011.

Süss and Fehlings are well acquainted as Jessica has qualified Fehlings' 5-year old Barcelona (by Beltano x Sir Savoy) for the 2019 Bundeschampionate.  Duisenberg will compete in the medium tour at the CDI Cappeln next week.

"Last week Duise was second in the Short Grand Prix at the show at Krusterhof in Voerde," Süss told Eurodressage. "I'm truly mega happy that I can continue to ride Duise."
