Diederik van Silfhout's KWPN stallion Expression has sustained an injury and has been withdrawn from competing at the 2019 CDIO Aachen next week. This means that The Netherlands will not be fielding a team for the Nations' Cup.

The 10-year old stallion Expression (by Vivaldi x Vincent) strained himself and is injured. The horse, owned by Van Silfhout and Van Norel, will be sidelined for the entire summer show season.

Van Silfhout and Expression were selected for the Dutch Team that would compete at the 2019 CDIO Aachen. Last week Anne Meulendijks announced that she would ride the 4* in Aachen, which means doing only two tests and sparing her horse towards potential team selection for Rotterdam. This brought the Dutch team back to three.

With Diederik Van Silfhout dropping out and team trainer Alex van Silfhout not bringing a new rider on the team, Holland will not be represented in the Nations' Cup.

The pair has had a successful 2019 show season with starts at the CDI's in Lier, Den Bosch, Hagen and Geesteren.
