The 5-year old DaVinci G and the 6-year old Double Surprise became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Kayhude, Germany, on 10 July 2019.
The 5-year old division in Kayhude was tiny with just four pairs competing. Tessa Frank steered Brigitte Müller's Westfalian gelding DaVinci G (by Don Juan de Hus x Stedinger) to victory with 7.8. The black gelding got 8.5 for walk, 7.5 for trot, canter and submission and 8 for general impression. Frank also landed second place on Christian Kullmann's Oldenburg gelding Entertainer K (by Escolar x Florestan) with 7.5. The bay gelding got 7.5 for walk, trot, canter, submission and general impression.
Nine combinations competed in the M-level division, which was won again by Tessa Frank, this time aboard Aktivstall Trittau's Hanoverian stallion Double Surprise (by De Niro x Latimer). The liver chestnut stallion scored 8 for walk and trot, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression to finish on an 8.2 winning total. Shereen Giese and the Hanoverian stallion San Cloud's Lucky (by San Amour x Wolkenstein II) were the runners-up with 8.0. The bay stallion got 8 for walk and trot, 7.5 for canter, 8.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
