The 5-year old Flying Scotchman and the 6-year olds Such a Diva and Belcanto HK became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional dressage show in Brunnthal, Germany, on 29 - 30 June 2019.
Only 8 horses out of 18 entered competed in the 5-year old division which was won by Franz Trischberger aboard Anja Gutschmidt's Hanoverian stallion Flying Scotchman (by Furst Romancier x Londonderry). The pair got 9 for walk and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression to finish on a winning average of 8.60 points. Two horses tied in second place with 8.0: Alexandra Sessler and Claudia Wurflingsdobler's Oldenburg gelding Dante's Crack (by Dante Wetino x Kansas C) got 7.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 8.5 or submission and 8 for general impression. Svenja Lohmann and her Hanoverian stallion Rio de Janeiro (by Rotspon x Don Crusador) earned straight 8s for walk, trot, canter, submission and general impression.
In the 6-year old division 14 were entered and 5 competed in the class. There were two winners that scored the high score of 8.0. Julia Gress steered Katharina Mayer's Hanoverian mare Such a Diva (by Spörcken x Dancier) to that mark. The mare got straight 8s for walk, trot, canter, submission and general impression. The same winning score was posted by Ramona Ritzel on Peter Walter's Bavarian gelding Belcanto (by Belissimo M x Regazzoni). The horse got 7.5 for walk and submission, 8.5 for trot and canter and 8 for general impression.
