The KWPN Stallion Licensing Committee have given six stallions  a one-year extension to present their offspring in order for them to keep their licensed status as breeding stallions.

The KWPN Stallion Licensing Committee recently met to discuss the breeding results of a few older stallions.

After a stallion has received a positive foal inspection, the next moment for re-assessment is when the oldest offspring reaches the age of 4. A minimum of 10 offspring will be scored at a breed show or during the first phase of the stallion licensing. When a minimum of 10 offspring is not achieved, the re-assessment will be done when this number is achieved.

After an assessment based on 4 and 7-year old offspring, the committee can decide to place a stalion "on hold" or maintain his licensed status. The last chance for an offspring assessment is when the oldest crop is 11 years old. Then the committee decides to license a stallion for life or revoke the licensed status.

Electron, Expression, Ferdeaux and Ferdinand received a positive assessment and their licensed status is maintained

Bojengel, Bon Bravour, Bretton Woods, Charmeur and Chippendale maintain their licensed status. Their oldest offspring is seven years old.

The 16-year old KWPN bred stallion Netto (by Negro x Purioso x Nimmerdor) has received a one-year extension for his offspring inspection. Owned by Van Olst Horses, Netto competed one month at international Grand Prix level: in May 2013 he did the CDI's in Saumur and Roosendaal but then disappeared from the show scene. Netto was licensed six years ago. The licensing committee has decided to give Netto one year extension for his offspring to prove their talent.

Six further stallions received one year extension because they have less than 10 assessed offspring with the KWPN society. They are Five Star (by Amazing Star), Foundation (by ),  Velazquez, Charmingmood, Wesley and Aqiedo

Approved for life are Valdez, Vic, Westpoint (now gelded!) and Winningmood.
