German Under 25 Grand Prix rider Ann-Kathrin Lindner has received the ride on the 15-year old Rhinelander bred Grand Prix horse Flatley

Bred by Judith and Johannes Gielessen, Flatley (by Furst Piccolo x Ehrensold x Dilettant).

He was licensed at the 2006 Westfalian Stallion Licensing in Munster and did his 30-day Stallion Performance test in Neustadt/Dosse in November 2007. He scored 8.44 for dressage and 7.38 for show jumping, totaling 8.13 points.

Flatley has sired one licensed son, Falstaff, and seven state premium mares in Germany so far.

He was first competed by Isabell Werth in September 2007 in an A-level riding horse test, but in 2009 Werth's assistant at the time, Matthias Bouten, took over the ride. The horse made the transition to small tour level in 2011 under Bouten, but competed in the 2011 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals with Werth and finished second. In 2013 the horse moved up to Grand Prix level Werth was back on board for the introduction show in Balve in June 2013, but then the horse moved away from Werth's yard.

In 2013 owner Tobias Schult sold Flatley to Angelina and Heiko Graf and in the spring 2014, Flatley resurfaced on the German show circuit under Meike Lang. She competed him at national Grand Prix level until September 2017.

When Lang decided to move to Andreas Helgstrand in Denmark in 2018, she took Flatley along, but no longer competed him.

According to Reiter Journal, Flatley has now returned to Germany and owner Graf has given the ride to Lindner. She aims to compete him on the German U25 circuit and their debut is planned for the regional show in Pforzheim.
