Equestricons Walkure, the 2015 European Young Riders Championship gold medal winning mare, has been sold to Luxembourg junior rider Emma-Lou Becca.

Bred by Clemens von Merveldt, Walkure is a 13-year old Oldenburg mare by Romanov out of Weissera (by Donnerschwee).

The mare was originally owned by Stella Hagelstam, but she sold her to German horse dealer Jochen Arl in 2014. Walkure made her international show debut at the 2014 CDI Pompadour under French Alizee Froment.  A few months later Dutch young rider Dana van Lierop took over and the pair competed in 2015 in Drachten, Wellington, Nieuw en St. Joosland, Roosendaal, and Compiegne.

Van Lierop and Equestricons Walkure were selected on the Dutch team and won team silver, individual test gold and kur silver at the 2015 European Young Riders Championships in Vidauban, France.  Soon after, the mare sold to Danish Grand Prix rider Agnete Kirk Thinggaard.

Thinggaard never competed Walkure and ended up handing the ride to Malaysian Qabil Ambak who won silver at the 2017 South East Asian Games in Kuan Rawang with her. In 2018 Ambak showed her once more at the CDIO Uggerhalne.

Walkure has now sold to Emma Lou Becca in Luxembourg. She trains with Danish born Fie Skarsoe. Aboard Komet, Becca represented Luxembourg at the 2017 and 2018 European Junior Riders Championships.

Becca and Walkure at set to make their international show debut at the 2018 CDI Aachen Indoor at the beginning of December.
