Judy de Winter with Dominique Filion on Four Legends KS

Dutch horse dealer Judy de Winter is expanding her dressage sales and training business and has struck a collaboration with Dutch FEI rider Dominique Filion.

De Winter has been looking for opportunities to expand her business for quite some time. The market is overwhelming and it is difficult to match exclusive horses to the right riders. The market demands very talented and very well trained dressage horses and that requires good management and skilled riders.

"I often hear from colleagues that there is plenty of demand on the market, but the problem is finding the right rider to prepare the horses. The customer is demanding, he only wants the best. In the old days it was enough to have schoolmasters that did the job, but nowadays the offer has to be outstanding," said De Winter, who is a seasoned horse dealer with her finger on the pulse.

"The market has become much more critical. It seems that a lot of riders can't keep up with the level of good horses that is ever increasing. It was hard for me to find such a rider, but now I have found her in Dominique Filion. She has clearly earned her accolades in sport. She is a top rider, not only in the competition ring, but also as a trainer."

Dominique will take over the ride on the Taiwanese owned KWPN licensed stallion Four Legends KS and begin competing him. The goal is to prepare the stallion for international shows.

"I've already ridden Four Legends and he feels good," said Filion. "Judy has put a very good basis on this horse, which makes it easy for me to take over. His trot is spectacular and I think I can soon ride him at small tour level."

With the arrival of Dominique, Judy de Winter seems more opportunities to expand her business and she's busy at developing sales points across Europe.
