The Dutch bred licensed pony stallion FS Cocky Dundee has passed away at the end of September. The bay stallion was 27 years old and was euthanized at home after spending almost 10 years in retirement.

FS Cocky Dundee was a 1991 born Dutch bred pony stallion by Cocky Dundas xx out of Bloklands Sheila (by Valentino x Conquistador). He was bred in The Netherlands and owned by Carina Dobrowski.

He was first licensed at the 1993 Rhinelander pony licensing in Aachen, Germany, and did his 30-day stallion performance test in Munster-Handorf in 1995, scoring 124.13 points.

FS Cocky Dundee was first competed by Jana Freund in 1996 in the A-level dressage horse tests. Sabrina Schröder and Eva Julia Haubert took over after her in 1997. In 1999 he was shown by Ursula Herozgenrath. He then disappeared from the competition scene for almost six years to return in 2005 under Nadine Zilleken in eventing. They only did one local show. In 2009 Daniela Hövel showed him twice in show jumping. His last show was in July 2009. An injury led to an early retirement from sport.

FS Cocky Dundee first stood at stud at Ferienhof Stucker and then 12 years ago moved to the Eilers family yard Laacher Hof near Erfstadt, Germany, where Hövel took care of him.

As a breeding stallion FS Cocky Dundee sired 8 licensed sons and 7 state premium mares. His most famous son is without a doubt the highly popular pony breeding stallion FS Champion de Luxe, but also his other licensed sons Cash and Carry, Crockodile Rock, FS Challenger and FS Chiwago made a name for themselves.
