The internationally competed FEI Dressage pony Orchid's Syria has been sold to Germany. German pony rider Johanna Kullmann has added the bay mare to her string of ponies.

Orchid's Syria is a 10-year old Dutch New Forest Pony mare by Kanshebber out of Orchid's Pretty (by Watershof Pretendent). He was last owned by Van der Pols in partnership with Tim Coomans.

The pony has been competed under several different names: Coolhorses Syria, TC Syria and Orchid's Syria. The latter is the original, authentic name given by the breeder.

Syria made her international FEI pony debut under Belgian Dente de Schepper and the pair represented Belgium at the 2015 European Pony Championships in Malmo, Sweden.

In 2016 the mare sold to Dutch pony and children's rider Sanne van der Pols, who made her international debut at the 2016 CDI Nieuw en St. Joosland. The tall Van der Pols mainly focused on riding her Children's horse Excellentie, but also competed her pony at numerous international shows in Le Mans, Compiegne, Roosendaal, Hagen, Aachen, Lier, Sint-Truiden, and Diepenbeek.

Their last show together was the CDI-P Diepenbeek in June, where they finished seventh in the Kur to Music.

Syria has now moved to Kullmann in Germany. She has been competed Champ of Class, a pony like Syria, that has been sourced at Coby van Baalen's stable. The new combination is trained by Rosi Kemper.
