The 5-year old Santo Domingo II and the 6-year old Zolla became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Mecklemburger regional championships in Redefin, Germany, on Friday 6 July 2018.
Ten pairs competed in the 5-year old division and Annika Korte and Angela Dregger's German Sport Horse stallion Santo Domingo II (by San Amour x Furst Heinrich) topped the board with a strong total of 8.7. The black stallion gto 8 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and 9 for general impression. Kira Ripphoff and the Westfalian mare Donna Frederika (by Don Frederic x Amantus) placed second with 8.1. The chestnut mare earned 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
Seven combinations competed in the 6-year old qualification class Annika Korte once again rode herself into the winner's circle, this time on the Oldenburg mare Zolla (by Zonik x Don Frederico). They scored 8.0 after receiving 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 7.5 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Roland Volkmann and Fehrbellin (by Franziskus x Quaterback) were second with 7.7. The dark bay stallion got 6.5 for walk, 8 for trot, 9 for canter, 7 for submission and 8 for general impression.
