The 5-year old Freiherr von Stein and the 6-year old Quick Step became the winners of the two Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Saxonian Regional championship in Burgstädt, Germany, on Sunday 1 July 2018.
In the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds, Kay Pawlowska steered gestut Moritzburg's Trakehner licensed stallion Freiherr von Stein (by Millennium x Perechlest) to victory. He referred Susan Göbel and the Moritzburg owned Westfalian stallion Depeche Royal (by Depeche Royal x Ehrenmann) to a second place.
In the M-level dressage horse class for 6-year olds Tina Kage and the German Sport Horse registered gelding Quick Step (by Quaterback x Paradiesvogel) topped the board with 8.2. The gelding got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Pia-Katharina Voigtländer and Sarah Scherwitzki's Oldenburg stallion Renegade S (by Rock Forever x Stalypso) were second with 7.8. The dark bay stallion got 8 for walk and trot, 7.5 for canter and submission and 8 for general impression.
