The 5-year old Furstenspiegel and the 6-year old Revenant became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show at Gut Riedhausen in Brunnthal, Germany, on Sunday 24 June 2018.
Judges Martin Rassmann, Johann Speth and Peter Sultanow put Carla Kickum on the Oldenburg stallion Furstenspiegel (by Furstenball x Stedinger) first in the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds. The dark bay stallion scored 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression to average 8.3 for the victory. Daniela Waxenberger and Limbecker's Westfalian stallion Bon Bruno (by Bon Bravour x Dream On) were second with 8.0. The bay stallion got 8 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 7.5 for canter and 8 for submission and general impression.
In the 6-year old division, judges Ilja Vietor, Gabi Schlicht and Martin Rassmann put Rudolf Widmann and Gestut Ammerland's Westfalian stallion Revenant (by Rock Forever x Sir Donnerhall) first with a solid 8.6. The former PSI auction horse scored 9 for trot, 8.5 for walk and canter, 8 for submission and 9 for general impression. Canadian Hannah Beaulieu and the Werndl family's Hanoverian bred Dior (by De Niro x Florencio) were second on 8.0. The gelding got 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, and 8 for canter, submission and general impression.
