The 5-year old D'Artagnan and the 6-year old Best for Me OLD became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the 2018 Weser Ems Regional Championships in Cloppenburg, Germany, on Wednesday 20 June 2018.
With 21 five-year olds and 14 six-year old horses the BuCha classes in Cloppenburg were very well attended.
Shereen Giese bested the field in the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds aboard Ines Augele's Spanish Sport Horse (CDE) bred D'Artagnan. The Desperados offspring out of a PRE dam by Ysero III scored a winning total of 8.4. and got 8 for walk, 9 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Tanja Fischer and Klaus Crone-Munzebrock's Oldenburg gelding Davey CM (by Dimaggio x Sir Donnerhall) followed in the distance in second place with 7.7. The bay gelding for 7 for walk, 8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 7 for submission and 8 for general impression.
In the M-level dressage horse test for 6-year olds Patrick Kraft aced the division aboard Lodbergen's Oldenburg stallion Best for Me OLD (by Bretton Woods x Latimer). They scored 8.2. after getting 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter and 8.5 for submission and general impression. Two horses tied in second place with 8.1. Andrea Müller-Kersten rode Elisabeth Tepper's Hanoverian gelding Belaggio (by Belissimo M x Ehrentanz) to an 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Finnish Emma Kanerva also got the same end score of Gert Saborowski's Oldenburg bred Mist of Titanium (by Millennium x Diamonit) with 8 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot and 8 for submission and general impression.
