In 2018 the 24th Manfred & Hilde Swarovski Memorial Show, CDI4* Schindlhof will take place from 29 June to 1 July. Alongside an international 4* dressage competition, Fritzens will also host the 2018 Austrian National Para-Dressage Championship for the third time.

Amazing Starters List

Riders from 19 nations are entered for this Memorial Show. Since not all participants could be accommodated, we regrettably had to turn down a few. The spectators can look forward to the riders of a strong German team looked after by national trainer Monica Theodorescu – most notably, the number one in the world ranking and six-time Olympia champion Isabell Werth. Already at home at Schindlhof is Team Olympic Champion, World- and European Champion Dorothee Schneider.

Long-standing guests are, among others, the British team rider Emile Faurie and the Danish team rider and national trainer Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. Since the first show in 1995 return guests include the sympathetic professional German rider Matthias Kempkes and friend of the famiy Bianca Kasselmann, who has remained loyal to Fritzens since 1995.

Having obviously enjoyed herself at her premiere at Schindlhof last year, Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Mahidolof Thailand, will return this year.

The first and so far only winner of the “Manfred & Hilde Challenge Trophy”, Victoria Max-Theurer, will be part of a strong Austrian team, one which can definitely hold its own in this world-class field. The 2018 CDI Fritzens is one of the final qualifiers prior to the World Equestrian Games in America’s Tryon.

Celebrity Guests in Fritzens

The Austrian Para-Dressage Championship runs under the esteemed patronage of Marianne Hengl. Austria’s rider in the para-dressage event is Pepo Puch, the Olympic champion in London and Rio de Janeiro, and the Athlete of the Year 2016 in Austria.

Saturday and Sunday will provide guests with an interesting show programme followed by a Hat Competition, which has also been carried out for several years in the special category “Owner with Hat and Dog”. The popular and well-known TV and theatre moderator Mirjam Weichselbraun will be moderating the Hat Competition this year as well.  Fritzens also looks forward to greeting Klaus Philipp, one of the world’s most eminent painters of horses, who has already portrayed all the famous horses.

All entrance fees and voluntary donations will go to the charities Therapeutic Riding and Vaulting & Riding for Handicapped People, as well as to the organization Tugende Together. "Even though you may have free admission, we request that you give a small donation, for every euro counts," said the show host.
