The first of three Freestyle classes were decided at the 2018 CDIO-PJYR Hagen "Future Champions" international youth riders competition at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen on Saturday 16 June 2018.

The Juniors had their CDIO Tour in the Almased Dressage Stadium, and one rider left no doubt, that she is one to watch in the future. Valentina Pistner (Bad Homberg) and her Flamboyant OLD (by Fidertanz) offered up a great performance in the Prize of the Liselott und Klaus Rheinberger-Stiftung. Her four legged partner won the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal in December of 2017, with none other than the queen of dressage, Isabell Werth. Pistner impressed judges, and proved that she too is capable, and won the Freestyle by a large margin. Aagaard Hyrm (DEN) with Skovborgs Romadinov and the Russian Anna Guseynova with Lauda came in second and third place.

The Children's division is still quite new to the international stage. The German riders aged 12 to 14 presented themselves from their best side at the youth show in Hagen, working hard to promote the sport. In the final class, the podium was filled with three Germans. Isabelle Dülffer (Niestetal) won with Ben Kingsley ahead of Alina Hahn (Wimshein) with Riana and Lisa Steisslinger (Böblingen) with Havanna Negra.
