The 5-year old For Final OLD and the 6-year old Duracell were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Bülkau, Germany, on Friday 25 May 2018.
Judges Uta Riemann, Cornelia Hinsch, and Peter Olsson put Stella Charlott Roth and Lodbergen's Oldenburg licensed stallion For Final OLD (by For Romance x Dimaggio) first in the L-level dressage horse class for 5-year olds. The black stallion scored 8.5 for walk and canter, 8 for trot, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression to total 8.1 points. Eike Bewerungen and Heinz Ahlers' Hanoverian gelding Barolo (by Belissimo M x Hochadel) landed second place with 7.6. They tied with Kira Ripphoff on the Westfalian mare Donna Frederika (by Don Frederic x Amantus). Barolo got 8 for walk and trot, 7 for canter and 7.5 for submission and general impression, while Donna Frederika got 8 for walk and trot, 7.5 for canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impressions.
In the 6-year old M-level dressage horse class the judges favoured Nadine Husenbeth's ride on the Oldenburg gelding Duracell (by De Niro x Wolkentanz II). The bay gelding scored 7.5 for walk, trot, canter, 8 for submission and 7 for general impression. He won the class with a total of 7.6. Two horses tied in second place with 7.5.: Heike Kind on the Oldenburg mare Bremer Design (by Bordeaux x De Niro) and Susan Pape on the Hanoverian stallion Libertad (by Londontime x San Remo). Bremer Design earned 8 for trot, 8 for walk and canter, 8 for submission and 7.5 for general impression, while the licensed stallion Libertad got 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 6 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
