The 5-year old De Massimo and the 6-year old Lord of Dance became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the regional show in Böblingen on 12 - 13 May 2018.
In the 5-year old division judges Horst Eulich and Martin Rassmann saw a winner in Sabina Schrödter's Westfalian stallion De Massimo (by Dankeschön x Show Star). The horse scored a total of 7.6 which did not suffice to qualify for the Bundeschampionate, but he won the class. He got 8 for walk, and 7.5 trot and canter, submission and general impression. Two horses tied in second place with 7.5.: Ramona Ritzel and Peter Walter's Bavarian bred Belcanto (by Belissimo M x Regazzoni) got 7 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 8 for canter, and 7.5 for submission and general impression. Katrin Burger earned the same overall mark on Deuerer's Wurttemberger bred Little Lord (by Lord Leopold x Leredo) with straight 7.5s on the board for the gaits, submission and general impression.
Judges Thomas Kessler and Sonja Pilton rewarded Ann Kathrin Lindner on the Wurttemberger bred Lord of Dance (by Lingh x Jazz Time) the winning score of 8.1 in the 6-year old category. The dark bay gelding earned 7.5 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8 for canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression. Jörg Schrödter and the Westfalian bred gelding Vernissage (by Vitalis x Hochadel) landed second place with 7.7. He got 8 for walk, 7.5 for trot, canter and submission and 8 for general impression.
