The 5-year old Bonds and the 6-year old Furst William OLD became the winners of the very first Bundeschampionate qualifier of the 2018 show season, held in Wipperfurth-Kreuzberg on Sunday 29 April 2018.
This Rhinelander based qualifier kicks off a long season of nationwide selection trials for the ever important Bundeschampionate, the German Young Horse Championships held annually in Warendorf, Germany, this first weekend of September.
Anemone Samyn's Oldenburg licensed stallion Bonds (by Benicio x Sir Donnerhall) became the winner of the 5-year old dressage horse class under Beatrice Buchwald. The pair scored a total of 8.6 with 8 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8.5 for submission and general impression. Charline Wetzler and the Westfalian Dresscode (by Destano x Friedensritter) was the runner-up with 8.3. The black gelding got 8.5 for walk, 8 for trot and canter and 8.5 for submission and general impression.
Buchwald continued her winning streak in the 6-year old dressage horse class on Anemone Samyn's Oldenburg stallion Furst William OLD (by Furst Wilhelm x Lord Sinclair) on an 8.5 total score. The bay stallion got 8 for walk, 9 for trot and canter, 8 for submission and 8.5 for general impression. Carina Bachmann and Fabian Scholz' Hanoverian gelding First Choice (by Furstenball x De Niro) landed second place with 8.3. The black gelding got 9 for walk, 8 for trot, canter and submission and 8.5 for general impression.
