The German Equestrian Federation has nominated the combinations that are eligible to compete at the 2018 Preis der Besten in Warendorf, Germany, on 25 - 27 May 2018.
The Preis der Besten is an inofficial German youth championship and, more importantly, a mandatory team selection event where the German youth team selectors draft a long list of combinations that are invited to compete in two further team selection trials leading up to the 2018 European Pony, Junior and Young Riders Championships.
The combinations selected for the Preis der Besten are picked based on their performance at regional team training sessions as well as on the scores achieved at the Hagen and Kronberg PDB selection trials, which took place on the weekends of 14 - 15 April and 21 - 22 April.
