Denmark's number one Grand Prix rider Cathrine Dufour has added a new future star to her string of horses, Rosendal's Zundance, a 7-year old Danish warmblood gelding by Zack x Don Romantic.

"He's behind when it comes to his education," Dufour told Eurodressage. "I bought him all green ten months ago."

Dufour bought Zundance in April 2017 at Jeppe Houmann Petersen's yard and has been carefully training the elastic bay gelding since then. She hopes to start showing him at M-Level. She said that the bay is still very young at heart and playful under saddle.

Aboard her number one Grand Prix horse Atterupgaards Cassidy (by Caprimond x Donnerhall), Dufour won team silver and double individual bronze at the 2017 European Dressage  Chamopnships in Gothenburg.

The 26-year old Dufour is recognized as one of Europe's most talented dressage riders. Her parents own a cleaning company and purchased her previous FEI pony and three youth rider's horses (Cadillac, Aithon and Cassidy). Dufour runs her own training business and has one further top talent to ride, the Zinglersen family's Bohemian (by Bordeaux x Samarant) with whom she recently made a winning national Intermediaire II debut.

Cathrine brought Zundance along to the first Danish A-squad training session of 2018 with team trainer Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein held at Blue Hors stud.
