Once again the Central European outdoor season will begin at Horses & Dreams in Hagen a.T.W. this year. With much anticipation, we would like to announce that the guest country of Horses & Dreams 2018 will be the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.  At the end of April horses, riders, influencers, and spectators will meet of a great weekend full of exciting sport, culture, food, and lifestyle which will take visitors on a trip to the sunny desert country with its long and rich history and culture.

The Borgberg in Hagen will be transformed into a desert oasis, where spectators can learn about and experience everything our guest country has to offer, from architectural ruins dating back to as early as 300 BC and the Roman era, to traditional flute music and authentic foods and specialties.

Jordan not only has a long history with the Arabian horse, but it home to two princesses who have been very active in equestrian sports. Princess Alia Bint Al Hussein, the eldest sister of King Abdullah II of Jordan, has been a strong advocate for animal rights as well as promotion and preservation of the ancient Arabian Horse breed. She is also currently serves as president of the Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation. It is an honor for us to welcome Princess Alia to Horses & Dreams as our official Patron. Another member of the Hashemite family, prominent in the equine industry is Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein who became active in the sport of show jumping at a young age, and even represented her country at the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000. Following her active career as an athlete, she took on a role in the International Olympic Committee, and served two terms as president of the FEI.

The dressage and show jumping stadiums will be filled with high level sports and international competition at the four star level.
