Movie Star, Holland's top scoring FEI Dressage pony at the 2017 European Championships in Kaposvar, has been sold to the 12-year old Dutch rising FEI pony rider Julia Willemsen.

Movie Star is bred by Hilde Drent and was owned by Drenkt in partnership with Willem and Hilde Luiten. The mare is by Hagelkruis Valentijn out of Maya's Martine (by Orchard d'Avranches).

Coached by Christa Larmoyeur and ridden by Marten Luiten, the 10-year old Dutch Welsh pony made its CDI debut in December 2015 at the CDI Roosendaal Indoor competition. The pair consistently competed internationally in 2016, but they were an a very economical, international show schedule in 2017, just doing one CDI in Roosendaal before going to their first Europeans in Kaposvar, Hungary.

Luiten and Movie Star were 11th in the team championship test (71;179%), 5th in the individual test (73.268%) and 7th in the Kur to Music finals (75.475%). Movie Star also won the 2017 KNHS FEI Pony Cup Finals and 2017 Dutch pony Championships.

Julia Willemsen and Movie Star will be coached by Coby and Marlies van Baalen.

Marten Luiten will move to junior rider's level aboard Willeke Bos' 8-year old KWPN mare Fynona (by Ampere x Gribaldi).
