The Swedish Equestrian Federation has announced its dressage squads for 2018. Sweden has created an elaborate system of dressage squads per age division with elite, A and B teams as well as challenge and observation squads for the youth categories.
To be submitted to the Grand Prix elite team riders have to be able to score a minimum of 72%. For the Grand Prix A-team riders have to have scored at least twice of 70%. For the B-team the riders have to score 68% nationally and 67% internationally and the horses cannot be older than 15 years of age.
The Youth divisions were split into three squad types: elite, challenge and observation based on the scores achieved by the riders this 2017 show season.
The youth team captains are Tina Due-Boje (young riders), Marianne Essen Soderberg (junior riders), Pytt Hamberg (pony) and Kerstin André (supervisor youth riders).
